God’s invitation to each person is to enter the rest of God and be still. It is in the stillness that we discover the essence of who we are, individually and as a community. Be still, and know that God is God, no matter what is going on in your life. Be still and wait patiently for the Lord, for God will accomplish God’s purposes for you, not through your efforts, but through the goodness of God manifest through your resting stillness. Journey to BE Still is the journey of discovering the active presence and experience of God in our moment-to-moment living.
Spiritual direction is the opportunity to speak freely in a safe space about our spiritual journey. There is more going on than what we observe on the surface and God is working in the depth of who He created us to be. It is a vital practice for our spiritual journey. Let’s not miss the very things God is actively doing because we were not paying attention! This is as an expression of the steadfast love of God, pouring out the goodness of God day by day.
September 2022 through April 2023 I will be in the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. It is an intensive daily retreat experience of dwelling deeply in the Love of God with weekly spiritual direction by someone trained in the exercises. Throughout this adventure I will be posting reflections from my journey. Feel free to read and respond.
